Barbicide Sapphire Award Winners Announced

Sapphire Award

Cosmetology school sets the tone for the rest of a beauty industry professional’s life. It starts with someone’s passion and a dream and quality education makes that dream a reality. Programs and educators proudly watch as students blossom and often become leaders in the industry. Nothing is more important in cosmetology school than education about proper infection control, and learning about the risks of dangerous pathogens. While it may not be the most glamorous thing taught at school, infection control can make or break a professionals’ career. With this in mind BlueCo Brands launched the Barbicide Certified School Program.

As this program started and became popular it became apparent several schools were taking exemplary action in infection control education. In 2016 BlueCo Brands launched the Barbicide Sapphire Award program. This program furthers the initiative to honor the top schools in the professional beauty industry. As different criteria were tracked throughout the year, several schools clearly demonstrated true dedication to infection control education. Since the beauty industry is so diverse and all schools deal with different challenges, we felt six categories were necessary to honor all areas of the industry. It is with great excitement that we announce the winners of the 2016 Barbicide Sapphire Award.
